McCann launches new offering for clients to test new digital trends

Manchester’s McCann Erickson Communications House its strengthening its digital offering with the launch of a ‘Digi Lab’ to complement its existing McCann-I online operation.

The agency has appointed Paul Thompson, who previously held the role of head of web development at Co-operative Financial Services, as lab manager.

Thompson will be responsible for conducting usability testing of websites, prototyping and solution development, technology benchmarking and internet trend reviews.

The Dig Lab will get its first public airing this month when it plays host to more than 50 digital marketing specialists from McCann Erickson Offices across Europe, who will be converging on its Bonis Hall base for a two day conference on digital marketing.

McCann Manchester chief executive, Sue Little, pictured left, said: “We are working to develop the strongest integrated digital offering in the UK and our focus is to place the digital channel at the centre of everything we do.

“We are investing heavily in a facility which will enable us to stay one step ahead of the competition by allowing us to evaluate new technologies and how consumers are interacting online.”
