Newcastle based agency Different has created a campaign for Crimestoppers as the charity looks to raise awareness about the third person reporting of domestic violence.
The new nationwide campaign aims to encourage more third parties to pass on any information they might have about domestic violence anonymously.
Three ranges of emotive marketing materials will be created including posters, leaflets, calling cards and e-marketing aimed across all social classes and young people. It will run across press and print, outdoor and will also be present at sporting events.
The campaign is expected to be rolled out across the UK this month.
Catherine McKeag, new business manager at Different, said: “Crimestoppers requires an engaging, high impact campaign for this difficult issue which affects one in four women and one in six men at some point in their lives. It’s vital that we use our expertise in producing emotive, hard-hitting campaigns to make people realise that everyone must be aware of domestic violence.”
Hannah Daws, Crimestoppers’ head of communications, added: “The subject matter for this brief is highly emotive and we needed Different to hit people right between the eyes with our message. They’ve done just that by coming up with a stunning concept of attention-grabbing visuals which we hope will make the phone ring with information that will help stop the appalling violence suffered by so many women.”
