Former 20:20 creative director Holden named digital creative director of Green Room

Former 20:20 creative director Andy Holden has been appointed digital creative director for retail design studio Green Room.

Holden joins not long after the appointment of former GraphiCo DMG partner Alex Weller as head of digital for the Birmingham agency.

The pair worked together through their previous agency’s parent group – the Digital Marketing Group.

Richard Ash, founder and chief executive commented: “Digital media has had a meteoric impact on the retail world and we believe there is a genuine opportunity to build seamless, inspirational and compelling experiences for the connected consumer and retailer, as well as making it easier for our clients to deliver these solutions through one point of contact.
“Clients increasingly want to introduce digital solutions into their retail environments but have frustratingly had to employ two separate agencies, often resulting in inconsistent and fragmented experiences. Green Room is now positioned to challenge the status quo.
“Social media, smartphones and tablet PCs have suddenly increased the potential of digital technology in retail while customers have been empowered to engage with products, staff and their peers in new theatrical ways in-store. Not only that, click-and-collect, proximity, viral, email, social media and mobile marketing are all vital tools for driving footfall to stores and loyalty afterwards.
“We are delighted that Andy has reunited with Alex to develop this exciting new proposition for the practice. He brings with him huge amounts of knowledge and experience with clients from the FMCG, retail, entertainment and electronics sectors which I know will add tremendous value to our practice.”
