The Co-operative unveils pop-up for street party events with Green Room

The Co-operative has unveiled a pop-up, developed from a customised shipping container, to hold street party style events.

Created by Green Room, the pop-up street party will visit five Co-operative sites in the South-East; Blackfen, Chatham, Peacehaven, Enfield, and Maidenhead; and will stay in each location for two days.

With the aim of promoting co-operative membership and the idea of getting involved with business and the community, the space includes lighting, interactive community boards and family-friendly artwork zones, space to sample Fair Trade food and drink, and factual information about how co-operatives help the local community and the world.

Richard Ash, Green Room founder and chief executive, said: “From site location, design, manufacturing, installation, de-installation, delivery, staffing and storage, we have the understanding required to make pop-ups an exciting and commercially sound experience. We are also keen to connect the physical presence of pop-ups with consumers online using an array of devices including bespoke websites, QR codes and mobile apps.”
