US Creative Work of the Week: honesty of Honest Tea founder powers campaign

Sometimes, having the owner of the company state why they do what they do is the best marketing tactic, especially when the company has the word 'honest' in the name.

The new spots for Honest Tea feature co-founder and 'TEO Emeritus' Seth Goldman in a United Nilgiri Tea Estate garden in Korakundah, India. There he discusses the 20-year history of the brand and its commitment to providing organic, 'just a tad sweet' beverages. It's the first time Goldman has appeared in a commercial for the brand, and he comes across as sincere and approachable. Plus, the ad, by the Lambesis Agency, is beautifully shot, highlighting the pristine nature of the tea estate.

The spot also highlights the brand’s redesigned slimmer glass bottles, and three new flavors that feature trendy ingredients: Golden Turmeric Pineapple Herbal Tea, Lemon Grove Maple Black Tea and Mango Maté Black Tea - all made with organic and Fair Trade Certified tea and cane sugar.

Add a few new outdoor installations and some fun print ads for the Honest Kids line and that's how the campaign was voted the US Creative Work of the Week by our readers.

The spot also highlights the brand’s redesigned glass bottles, in a taller, slimmer silhouette, now available nationwide in 15 flavors. We’ve also introduced three new flavors available in glass that feature on-trend ingredients: Golden Turmeric Pineapple Herbal Tea, Lemon Grove Maple Black Tea and Mango Maté Black Tea - all made with organic and Fair Trade Certified tea and cane sugar.
