Ogilvy UK has promoted Victoria Day to head of account management, where she will be tasked with leading 170 client leadership experts.
Day will get her team working closer together across all disciplines to better service the group's substantial client base.
Her "creatively-minded, strategic approach to managing clients and teams alike" was cited as a lead reason for the promotion. As managing partner for WPP’s Team WBA, Victoria worked across multiple Walgreens Boots Alliance brands, with a team of over 150 people.
She will continue as managing partner on the Boots account, while reporting to chief customer officer, Clare Lawson, and will join the strategy board, led by Michael Frohlich, Ogilvy UK chief executive.
Clare Lawson, chief customer officer of Ogilvy UK, said: “Victoria is a proven leader across a 360 client remit, and a fantastic talent we already had within the building. She respects all capabilities and knows how to orchestrate them to solve clients problems. That’s what made her the outstanding choice for this role. I look forward to her deepening those skills in our account management team, and I know the team will thrive under her leadership.”
Day added: “We have an incredible opportunity ahead of us with Ogilvy at a pivotal moment, there is energy in the agency everywhere. Now is the time to hone and harness the vast client leadership talent we have within Sea Containers to really drive our client agenda forward.
"Team WBA was my first home at Ogilvy, and an incredible opportunity to work with a wholly integrated team. I now can’t wait to utilise that experience, really getting into the Account Management Craft and working with the whole team across Ogilvy to ensure we continue to be trusted, ambitious partners to our clients, delivering truly brilliant work.”
Before joining Ogilvy, day was managing partner at Adam&EveDDB, and led Waitrose, Halifax and Max Factor accounts. She has also spent time at Saatchi&Saatchi where she led the P&G Beauty Hub across EMEA.
