The Drum Arms New York: What's on tap?

It’s that time of year again when The Drum Arms (our pop-up pub) opens its doors in New York for a programme of panels, pints and a host of other events. A one-stop shop for when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of Advertising Week, our pub will be in business from September 25th- 26th.

The Drum Arms New York (set up at McHale's Bar & Grill in Midtown West) is just minutes away from all the buzzing activity at AMC Lincoln Square. It’s wowed audiences around the world with the likes of sessions with Sir Martin Sorrell, Unilever’s superstar marketer Aline Santos and Burger King’s CMO Fernando Machado, and we are ready to brew up some magic again in New York.

Over the course of two days, we will explore a range of topics together with our partners, such as creativity, the future of TV, entertainment, mobile gaming, the marketer of the future (and how customer experience plays into that), AI and more.

For all those interested in informal panel discussions, trivia, pub lunches, debates - as well as good old-fashioned drinking sessions for some quality networking, this is the place for you.

2-3pm: Game On: Keeping up momentum around women’s sports

In the run up to the Fifa Women’s World Cup, brands like Budweiser and Coca-Cola aligned themselves with women's soccer through lucrative partnerships and sponsorship deals. But with the summer of sport drawing to a close, how do we ensure brands continue to support women's sport and what opportunities are they missing out on by not doing so?

3-4pm: The Future of  Marketing is Customer Experience in partnership with Microsoft Advertising

For years marketers have focused on the funnel – with the sale as the goal and the customer as an after-thought. Marketing was all about reaching the right person, with the right message, at the right time; however, to succeed in the future, highly successful marketers will abandon the funnel for the flywheel where the customer experience is at the heart of everything a marketer does.

This year, we'll be combining our opening party of our pub, the antidote to the boring conference, with The Drum's Chip Shop Awards USA Ceremony, an awards show with a difference. Fresh talent, fresh ideas, fun - and free - what is not to like?
